Parallel Universe is a fan made modification for Privateer Remake 1.2. The modification seeks to expand the playability of the game by introducing new ships, rebalancing certain aspects and adding new campaigns to enhance what is already an excellent game.

This website allows you to keep up with all the latest news regarding the project as well as providing helpful information in playing the game. Don't forget the Downloads section that has all the files you'll need to get started!

On a side note, Esgaroth and his crew joined up WC Junction and will soon host VegaTrek here. The forum is already up, accessable via the standard forum. You'll soon see a subdomain on its own, and of course they'll have a repo on their own.

Cheerio, it's time to celebrate! The new release of Parallel Universe finally is ready to download.

Currently, we have no zipped release, but you can download a patched version of PR with the actual PU from our SVN server. To see how this works, go here:

SVN provides you with the capability of being up-to-date any time by running a small SVN update. This way, we can implement our changes instantly so you'll always be able to track the progress.

Note that for now I'll delete the old standalone PU rar so we can avoid additional confusion.

A warm thank to all PU users out there! Be sure that this download number gives me an additional boost to finish PU1.2, so check the news items regularly. I've set up a new schedule and I guess I can have the next release ready before x-mas, however RL issues could prevent this. So if you want to speed up developement actively, hook up at the forum and ask for open tasks - little to no programming skills required.

Nphillips is working on moving wcjunction and this PU sub-domain from the present hosting account to our new VPS account. His goal is to have the switchover completed by sunday; but that means that some of saturday's posts may go missing and/or that new user registrations may be temporarily blocked. Just so you know.

We've only had the website for like 2 months, and the download page for little over a month; and we're already at 4 figures. Probably just word of mouth. With the next major release, coming soon, we'll be sure to send some press announcements ;-) Thanks everyone.

Kudos to Vista for the PHP programming, and to z30 for being first at using the interface and getting a pageful of screenshots.

Thanks to Vista's efforts, our download section is now online. Currently only with the basemod, you should find all files from here. Additionally, z30 is working on the basemod and he's really putting all of his heartblood into it - I expect we can make a new release within this month.
